The Connected Satellite: Integrating Space and Terrestrial Networks
Satellite communications are entering a new phase. For decades, satellite networks largely operated as separate communications systems, providing connectivity where terrestrial infrastructure could not reach. Today, that model is changing. The emerging satellite network is increasingly connected to fiber, 4G/5G, cloud platforms, data centers, private networks and edge-computing infrastructure. The result is a communications ecosystem in which space and terrestrial networks work together rather than operating independently. From Satellite Links
